Empowering South Asian Women

At the Zohra Foundation, we believe that every girl deserves the chance to learn, dream, and define her own future. Our work is inspired by the women who came before us — women like my grandmother, Zohra, whose quiet strength and resilience continue to guide everything we do.

Across Pakistan, many girls still face barriers to education — poverty, distance, expectations, and limited access to safe learning spaces. Yet behind every challenge is potential waiting to be unlocked. Through our programmes, we aim to remove those barriers by offering opportunities for girls to learn, grow, and lead with confidence.

Education, for us, goes beyond classrooms. It’s about creating spaces where girls feel seen, heard, and valued. It’s about giving them the tools to believe in their own voices — to know that their stories matter. We aim to partner with local schools, educators, and community groups to provide scholarships, mentorship, and resources that help young women stay in education and build meaningful futures.

Our foundation also works to amplify the stories of women from an often unheard generation — mothers, grandmothers, and trailblazers who quietly shaped the communities around them. Their journeys remind us that courage comes in many forms, and that empowerment begins when one woman’s story lights the way for another.

Every project we support is rooted in compassion, dignity, and hope. Whether it’s funding a girl’s school fees, providing mentorship, or sharing the untold stories of women who paved the way before us, we strive to pass light forward — from one generation to the next.
